How to download 2020/2021 Admission letter to Mount Kenya University (MKU); 2020 KUCCPS Admission list pdf

Did your KCSE examination and attained the minimum University Entry Grade and have been selected to join University? Well. Congratulations on this your major achievement. Students joining Mount Kenya University (MKU) are selected by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service, KCCPS. The students are selected after doing their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, KCSE, examination and getting the minimum University entry requirement. The KCSE students must first apply to KUCCPS to be selected to preferred programmes. The students can apply at school level or apply individually during the first and second revision windows.

Once the applications are closed, KUCCPS then places the KCSE students in preferred courses depending on the student’s score, number of available vacancies against applicants among other selection criteria. In not satisfied with the University that you have been selected to join then you can apply for Inter-Institution Transfer.

The placement body then announces the selection results and students can access the admission lists and download their admission letters.

To download the Mount Kenya University (MKU) Admission letter;

Candidates can either download the admission letters and registration documents from the student portal in the University website or visit the nearest University campus/ ODEL Centre. Download the list of students and the prospective courses

PROCEDURE:
  1. Go to the student portal i.e. https://studentportal.mku.ac.ke/
  2. Go to applicants /new students
  3. Enter the application reference or the index no./year e.g. 08237009083/2019
  4. Click generate applicant letter of offer.
  5. Print the Admission letter and read the instructions keenly. In case you have queries, please direct them to the University by using the official (provided) contacts on your admission letter.

The bachelor of science degree in computer science is a four-year programme that aims at equipping students with sufficient theory to be able to adapt to new technologies and new ideas in the rapidly growing computer industry.  Students are prepared to work in the following areas: (i) designing and building software;(ii)developing effective ways to solve computing problems, such as storing information in databases, sending data over networks; and (iii)providing new approaches or devising new and better ways of using computers to address new challenges in areas such as robotics, computer vision and digital forensics.

ABOUT THE COURSE

The  Bachelor of Radiography will offer an opportunity to ‘O’ Levels graduates and Diploma holders to pursue a Degree  course  and  enable  them  to  advance  in  Health  Sciences.The clinical component of this course requires students to rotate in a progressive manner in a hospital radiology department. Universities are the highest learning institutions in Kenya and the World over. They offer training majorly in undegraduate and Post Graduate Studies. In Kenya, the Courses offered in the Universities must be accredited by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Services, KUCCPS. It is the same body that selects and places students to higher learning institutions; Universities, Colleges and Polytechnics. To qualify for University placement one must attain the minimum set Mean grade and particular course requirements. Each Course offered at particular university has its own cluster cut off points, though. Most university courses take a minimum of 4 years; while, some take even more. An academic year at the university takes two semesters of three months each. University students get fees loans from various organizations. Top on the list is the Higher Education Loans Board, HELB, that advances both loans and Bursaries. Universities run online platforms; portals and websites, where such services as admission application, online accommodation booking, E-learning, exams results downloads and many are provided to students, staff and the general public. Bachelor of Education(Arts) Minimum of C+ (plus) in KCSE OR equivalent with at least C + (plus) in two teaching subjects OR minimum of C (plain) in KCSE OR equivalent with a Diploma in Education and at least C + (plus) in two teaching subjects. Bachelor of Education(Science)        Minimum of C+ (plus) in KCSE or equivalent with at least C + (plus) in two teaching subjects and C+ (plus) in Mathematics OR minimum of C (plain) in KCSE or equivalent with a Diploma in Education and at least C + (plus) in two teaching subjects. Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood Education Minimum of C+ (plus) in KCSE or equivalent OR minimum of C (plain) in KCSE or equivalent with a Diploma in ECDE or its equivalent with an overall pass of credit or distinction. How to download 2020/2021 Admission letter to KCA University; 2020 KUCCPS Admission list pdf

Congratulations for getting your admission at KCA University after your successful application. Students joining KCA university are selected by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service, KCCPS. The students are selected after doing their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, KCSE, examination and getting the minimum University entry requirement. The KCSE students must first apply to KUCCPS to be selected to preferred programmes. The students can apply at school level or apply individually during the first and second revision windows.

Once the applications are closed, KUCCPS then places the KCSE students in preferred courses depending on the student’s score, number of available vacancies against applicants among other selection criteria. In not satisfied with the University that you have been selected to join then you can apply for Inter-Institution Transfer.

The placement body then announces the selection results and students can access the admission lists and download their admission letters.

To download the KCA university Admission letter;

  1. Access the KUCCPS Admission Letters Link at https://www.kca.ac.ke/governmentsponsoredstudents
  2. Enter your KCSE Index Number.
  3. Locate the Admission Letter download tab and click on it to download it.
  4. Print the Admission letter and read the instructions keenly. In case you have queries, please direct them to the University by using the official (provided) contacts on your admission letter.

  5. Once accepted into the degree of your choice, you will receive an admission package through the email you used in the KUCCPS registration. To confirm your admission kindly fill and return the forms in the admission package to the Enrollment office at the main campus, Ruaraka or Kisumu Campus (Mega Plaza). 2020/2021 TVETs academic calendar, KASNEB and KNEC exam time tables

 The ministry of education has provided fresh guidelines on how Technical Vocational Education and Training Institutions (TIVET) will be reopened. In the latest communique, the ministry has at the same time given an update on the 2020 Kenya Accountants and Secretaries National Examinations Board (KASNEB) and the Kenya National Examinations Council, knec, examinations will be done.

Following the declaration of COVID-19 as a global pandemic and the Presidential directive by His Excellency the President of the Republic of Kenya, learning was suspended with effect from 20th March, 2020 in all TVET institutions as one of the measures to control the spread of the corona virus.

To facilitate reopening of all TVET institutions, the State Department for Vocational and Technical Training has developed a framework to guide the process. The framework proposes that TVET institutions be reopened in a phased manner with effect from 2nd September, 2020.

Based on the guiding principles, reopening of all TVET institutions will be informed by modelling projections by the Ministry of Health, MoH, on when the peak of infections is anticipated.  MoH projects that the peak of infections will be in August/September, and fewer cases will be reported after September 2020.

MoH advice that institutions should only reopen when the daily confirmed percentage of positive COVID-19 cases have been consistently declining for at least 14 days.

Preparation

In order to meet the minimum requirements for reopening of TVET institutions, the Vocational Training Team (VTT) will require two months from 1St July, 2020 to institute a safe training environment that meets all the protocols that will prevent transmission of the COVID-19.

 Preparedness

TVET institutions will be required to provide the minimum requirements for prevention of COVID-19 transmissions which include:

  1. clean running water and soap for hand washing;
  2. sanitisers;
  3. adequate space for social distancing;
  4. masks for learners, trainers and non-teaching staff. The government will facilitate TVET institutions to produce masks which will be purchased by trainees and staff at subsidized rates
  5. thermal guns for monitoring body temperature.

All Public TVET institutions have been directed to manufacture own masks and sale them to trainees at subsidized rates; whose cost is met by parents and guardians. Private TVET institutions’ parents and guardians will incur full expenses of procuring masks for trainees.

All institutions will be required to institute social distancing measures. The social distancing protocol of maintaining a distance of at least 1 metre between trainees implies that classes will be resized to ensure adherence. This will be achieved by:

  1. Shift arrangement of classes,
  2. Staggered tuition arrangement so that each academic year uses facilities on specific days,
  3. Use blended learning approaches i.e. face to face and remote learning and
  4. VTT has categorized TVET institutions into three categories for ease of approval of reopening institutional plan:
  • New TVCs: 143 Institutions’ that are new and are being operationalised hence are not yet congested. This category will admit new trainees in September 2020.
  • Moderate Enrolled TVCs: 23 institutions that have enrollment of below 3000 trainees that require moderate measures. This category will admit new trainees in September 2020
  • Highly Enrolled TVCs and National Polytechnics: 22 institutions that have enrollment of above 3000 trainees and thus require detailed measures. This category will require VTT approval of the institutional academic plan and VTT assessment of the same.

Laboratories, dining halls, dormitories for boarding institutions and other shared facilities may also face the same constraints.  Consequently, the VTT has developed modalities that will facilitate reopening for all TVET institutions. This may require use of tents, dining halls and other facilities for training.

 New Term

When TVET institutions reopen, trainees will begin their Term 3 of the training calendar on 1st September 2020, since they had already covered the curriculum of Term 2 at the time of closure on 15th March, 2020.

Rescheduling of Examinations

TVET exams have been rescheduled to accommodate those that were postponed.

The September 2020 reopening of TVET institutions will be preceded by a two-week exam session for KNEC March 2020 series that was suspended; to run from 17th to 28thAugust 2020.

The July 2020 KNEC candidates will sit for Examinations in December 2020 after covering the syllabus for the normal 12 weeks. Other examining bodies will fit their examination schedule within the indicated time-frame.

The KNEC exam calendar for next year will be revised so that exams are offered in July 2021 and November 2021.

KASNEB May 2020 series have been rescheduled to December 2020.

KASNEB May 2020 series will now be done on September 21, 2020; immediately after TVET Exams and the KASNEB November 2020 series have been pushed to January 2021. The May 2021 series will move to June/July 2021 and the November 2021 remains as scheduled

TVET institutions offering international curricula will reopen according to the institution calendar of the curriculum they are implementing.  However, they will be required to obtain approval from the Principal Secretary (PS) in charge of VTT prior to reopening.

Trainers Sensitization on COVID-19

Trainers will be re-tooled on new approaches in pedagogy and management of trainees amidst COVID-19 pandemic.

Recruitment of 4000 Intern Trainers

The VTT and the Public Service Commission, PSC, will need to recruit an additional 4,000 intern trainers for effective curriculum implementation given the COVID-19 protocols and procedures put in place.

KISII UNIVERSITY EDUCATION COURSES

The university offers a wide range of education courses in its Faculty of Education.

  Bachelor of Education Course Requirements:

Mean grade C+ (Plus) at KCSE and at least C+ in each of the two teaching subjects, 2 principal passes at A’Level and 1 subsidiary in relevant subjects, Diploma in Education (May be exempted in relevant units). P1 teachers must have scored C+ at KCSE to qualify.

 Admission Requirements

  ADMISSION OF STUDENTS

The admissions office is in the academic affairs department. The office is mandated to receive, process, and dispatch admission letters for eligible applicants. Kisii University offers various courses, at different levels ranging from certificates to PhD. Students interested in full-time, evening and weekend modes of study can apply for January, May and September intakes. Those interested in school based programs can apply for April, August and December intakes. Application forms are obtained from the admissions office at the main campus or from our campuses across the country. They can also be downloaded from our website >>application forms . The duly filled forms should be accompanied with relevant certificates, a passport size photo and an original bank in pay slip for a non-refundable application fees. The application fees is kshs. 2,000.00 for Degree and enhancement programs, Kshs. 1,000.00 for Diplomas, Kshs.500.00 for certificates and bridging programs. The filled forms can be returned to: The Registrar Academic affairs, Kisii University P.o. Box 408-40200 Kisii. BACHELOR OF EDUCATION (SCIENCE)

This curriculum is for the Science Teacher Education program. This program was established at Kisii University in response to the continued need for qualified graduate Science Teachers in the Secondary Schools and tertiary institutions. This program is planned in line with the requirements of the current secondary school curriculum. The Bachelor of Education (science) degree. The program is practical oriented in nature, in keeping with practical and vacation of thrust of the current educational system. The faculty of education and human resources offers professional courses for this program. Here are the subject combinations:

Candidates must satisfy the minimum entry requirements of the university Candidates must have a mean grade of C+ and above (or equivalent) and at least a C+ in the subject of specialization OR A level with two principal passes in relevant subjects. In addition, they must also satisfy departmental requirements before registering for a course in the particular department.

BACHELOR OF EDUCATION (ARTS)

Bachelor of Education Arts in a new four years degree program offered at Kisii University. The program is divided into various sub departments like, Educational Psychology and Counseling, Curriculum and Instructions, Educational Fountains, Administration and Planning, Literature, language and linguistics, Mathematics, economics, business studies and geography. Associate departments include: philosophy, religious studies and history The program aims at training and producing qualified graduate teachers/educators in order to achieve the national goals and objectives of education and development.

The program is designed to provide adequate opportunities in both theory and practice of education. The program prepares students: To conduct training and carry out research on education and their areas of specialization
