TSC Boss Dr. nancy Macharia. The Standard NewsPaper has apologized to the Commission over the erroneous feature on Teacher Interns' status.

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has warned teachers and Kenyans to be wry of fraudsters who are calling to ask for money in order to offer services. The Commission has at the same time given a list of services that attract charges.

“We would like to assure teachers, staff and other stakeholders seeking services from us that we do not charge for recruitment, transfer, promotion and pension services.” Says TSC.

A number of Kenyans have lost colossal amounts of money to fraudsters masquerading as TSC agents. A case in point is where the con men and women call teachers in the ptetext of assisting them get promotions.

According to the TSC Service Charter, the following services are offered at no cost:

Submitting an application against Advertised Posts,
Submitting a written enquiry and
Submit duly filled transfer application form among other many services.

It is important to note that only two services attract charges from TSC. These services are: Registration of Teachers and applying for a review of a discipline case.
