Nakuru County KCSE 2020 ranking of schools (Best Schools Per County in KCSE 2020-2021 Exams)

In the 2020 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) ranking of schools for Nakuru County, Moi Kabarak High school emerged the overall top, best, school. The school managed to score an impressive mean score of 9.56

Knec procedure for KCPE 2023 Results

There are various methods through which you can quickly access the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) results for this year.
To get Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) results, you can follow these simple steps:

1. Knec Portal Online Method:

   – Visit the official Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) website (https://www.knec.ac.ke/).
   – Look for the “Online Results” or “KCPE Results” section on the website.
   – Enter the required details, which typically include the candidate’s index number and year of examination.
   – Submit the information to access the KCPE results.
2. Knec SMS Method:
– Send an SMS with the candidate’s index number to the official shortcode provided by KNEC. The official Knec SMS code is 20076
   – You will receive an SMS with the KCPE results.
3. Visit the School:
   – KCPE results are usually sent to the respective schools where candidates sat for the exams.
   – You can visit the school where the candidate took the KCPE exams and request the results.
4. Newspapers:
   – KCPE results are often published in newspapers. Look for the results section of major newspapers where the KCPE results might be published.
5. KNEC County Offices:

KCSE 2020 top 100 schools with straight A’s

In the 2020 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) Examinations, Alliance High School topped with the highest number of straight A’s (A plains). The school had a total of 77 candidates with grade A (plain). Kapsabet Boys came in second with 65 while, Alliance Girls had 55.

The list of KCSE 2020 top performers was dominated by National Schools.

Form one selection results for the 2019 KCPE candidates ready; learners to know schools to join

Learners who sat for the 2019 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education, KCPE, exams will know the secondary schools they have been selected to join; this week. The selection exercise for the over 30,000 students who will be joining the 136 National Schools, in January 2020, is now complete and the Education Cabinet Secretary Prof George Magoha is expected to announce the results on Monday. 

The over one million learners who sat for the 2019 KCPE exams will be waiting with bated breadth to know which of the 10,000 Secondary schools they will be joining come January 2020.

NATIONAL SCHOOLS SELECTION.

The selection exercise for National schools kicked off immediately after the release of the 2019 KCPE results; on November 18 at Naivasha. All the 9,770 students who scored over 400 marks are assured of slots in the National schools. These will be joined by the top five boys and girls from each sub county countrywide; irrespective of the marks they scored. Other criteria like affirmative action have been put in place to ensure learners from marginalized areas are catered for.

Meanwhile, the regional selection exercise will be carried out between December 3 and 5 at designated venues across all the regions; countrywide. It is expected that all learners will be able to know the schools they have been selected to join in fortnight.

The selection of candidates to Extra-County schools is based on a ratio of 20:40:40. This means that 20% of available vacancies in an extra county school goes students from the Subcounty where the school is found. While the host county and other counties get 40% each.

On its part, the selection criteria for students joining County schools in based on the 20:80 ratio. This means that 20% of the available slots in a County school go the hosting Sub-County while the remaining 80% are shared among other Subcounties; in that County.

SELECTION RESULTS

After the selection is complete Parents/ Guardians will then be able to receive the selection results via the Short Text Message Service, SMS. The admission letters for the 2020 form ones will then be available at the Education Ministry’s portal for the students to download. The 2020  form ones are expected to report to their respective schools in January as the schools re-open for term one; as was the case in 2019.

GOVERNMENT’S 100% TRANSITION POLICY TO SECONDARY SCHOOL

The good news for the over one million 2019 KCPE candidates is that all of them will get vacancies in form one in 2020. “His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta has asked the Ministry of Education to ensure that every child who sits the KCPE Examination is admitted to secondary school under the 100 per cent transition policy. The aim of the Government is to ensure that all Kenyan children get basic education until Form Four,” said Education CS Professor George Magoha while releasing the 2019 KCPE results on Monday November 18, 2019. “I wish to assure the country that the Ministry has put in place measures to fulfil the 100 per cent transition policy in 2020. All the candidates whose results will be released today should expect to be admitted to Form One. The Ministry has already conducted a mapping exercise of vacancies in all categories of schools that will admit all the candidates,” added CSMagoha.

EXPANSION OF SECONDARY SCHOOL INFRASTRUCTURE TO SUPPORT THE 100 PER CENT TRANSITION POLICY

The Kenyan Government has taken measures to expand the Secondary Schools infrastructure so as to accommodate the large numbers of admissions. “The Government is determined to address some of the expected challenges of the 100 per cent transition. As a result, the Government – together with development partners under the Secondary Education Quality Improvement Project – will roll out a Sh8 billion programme to build classrooms and laboratories in 110 sub-counties located in 30 counties next year. These classes will ease the pressure on the existing facilities in our secondary schools,” the CS said.

LAUNCH OF THE ELIMU SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME FOR NEEDY LEARNERS

The Government will from next year (2020) put 9,000 Form One students from targeted regions under a full scholarship programme called ‘ELIMU SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME’. Learners with over 280 marks have been urged to apply for the grant. The programme will be run under the Secondary Education Quality Improvement Project. Additionally, all the girls who will be selected as beneficiaries of the Elimu Scholarship Programme will also be supplied with free sanitary towels for the full period of their secondary school education.

In the 2020 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) ranking of schools for Homa Bay County,  Asumbi Girls High school emerged the overall top, best, school. The school managed to score an impressive mean score of 9.6.

Ndalat Gaa Girls High School is in Nandi County,Mosop,Kipkaren Division,Kapkatet Location and Ndalat Sub-location.

It is situated 25KM from west of Eldoret town along Eldoret -Rivatex-Kipkaren salient road.

The school is a public full 3 streamed girl’s boarding school sponsored by the African Inland Church(AIC).It stands on a 12 acre land which was donated by the late Mzee Wilson Koech,one of the founding members of the school.

In 1996, the school became purely girl’s full boarding school expanding into a double stream in 2003 and later into a 3 streamed school in 2017

For 24years the late Isaiah Kiplagat was the chairperson of BOM.He played a key role in infrastructure development,academic performance,enrollment and sports and placed the school in national limelight.
He mooted the famous ‘Ndalat Gaa Kids cross County’ an event whose objective is talent development among the youth:a program that is now an asset in the community and the country at large.
The cross country was later renamed ‘Isaiah Kiplagat Memorial Cross Country’ in his rememberance.
The school has committed BOM members who are very resourceful and supportive. The current board chairperson is Ms.Ruth C Koech

The current enrollment stands at 637 Students with 18 TSC and 10 BOM teachers. It is a strong team that has the potential to take the school to the next level.

KNEC LATEST NEWS– The Knec CBA portal (https://cba.knec.ac.ke/) is used to capture early year’s (Grade 1 to 6) learner details and scores. On successful log in to https://cba.knec.ac.ke/, you can Select an Assessment Portal. Another task that you can carry out in the portal is that of transferring a learner.

KNEC User Manual for Transfer of a Learner in the CBA Portal

To transfer a learner to another school, use the simplified procedure below;

Step 1: Log into the Knec CBA portal by visiting the link; https://cba.knec.ac.ke/. After login, Click on Transfer Learner tab as shown in the image below;

Step 2: Enter the Learner’s name or assessment number as shown in the figure below. As you type, the learners matching the name typed will appear.

Step 3: Click on Select if the learner to transfer is found.
NB: Make sure to check the name and current school code before selecting.

Step 4: Enter the School Code to transfer to here. Ensure that the code entered
belongs to a school in your sub county.

Step 5: Once the school appears, click on Select to select the destination school;

Step 6: Click on Transfer This Learner to move the learner from the current school to the destination school.

After clicking on transfer this learner, a prompt asking if you want to proceed
appears as shown below.

Step 7: Click OK to complete the transfer. The system will show this message if the transfer is successful.
