2025 TSC Replacement Vacancies: Essential Documents for Teacher Recruitment Interviews

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has laid out clear instructions regarding the necessary documents candidates must bring to their teacher recruitment interviews.

In a bid to maintain transparency and fairness in the hiring process, the TSC requires candidates to present both original and clear copies of specific documents for verification purposes.

Documents You Must Bring to Your Interview

Shortlisted candidates for the teacher recruitment interviews are expected to carry several crucial documents.

You should bring the original and clear photocopies of your National Identification Card, TSC Certificate of Registration, and academic credentials, including degree or diploma certificates along with their official transcripts for each qualification mentioned in your application.

Additionally, you must present your Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) and Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE).

If you have taken the KCSE or KCPE multiple times, you must provide certificates from all attempts.

This also applies to any primary and secondary school leaving certificates and relevant testimonials.

If you are a person with a disability, include documentation from the National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD).

In cases where there are discrepancies in names across your documents, a sworn affidavit is required to clarify these differences.

Should any academic certificate be lost, a letter of certification from the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) must be provided.

The TSC has stressed that incomplete documents will not be accepted, so ensure all paperwork is thorough.

Verification of Academic and Professional Credentials

The TSC is committed to recruiting only qualified individuals by thoroughly verifying all academic and professional documents.

Provisional academic documents will not be accepted.

All applicants must present the original and photocopies of all necessary supporting documents, including identification, academic records, school leaving certificates, and any other relevant materials.

For intern teachers, the verification process is simplified; they only need to bring their national ID for confirmation.

Documentation for Successful Candidates

Successful candidates will need to submit additional paperwork to the Secretary of the Selection Panel at the recruitment stage.

The required documents include: both sides of the national ID, two recent passport-sized photos, KCPE and KCSE certificates, any A-Level qualifications, all academic qualifications (including diplomas or degrees) along with their transcripts, the TSC registration certificate, the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) PIN, a copy of the bank card, a pay point fill-out form, the GP 69 Medical Examination Form, and a receipt confirming the submission of these documents.

Final Submission to TSC Headquarters

The final stage of document submission will be handled by the TSC County Directors, who will send the paperwork to TSC headquarters. This will include signed panel minutes, county merit lists with details of successful candidates (including those with disabilities), and employment letters along with the original KNEC certificates for authenticity, as well as the GP 69 medical form.

Ensure all documents are certified, organized, and accurately spelled to facilitate a smooth onboarding process.

A senior TSC administrator has emphasized that the completeness and organization of required documents are vital for a timely processing of your application, ensuring that the TSC payroll can handle your paperwork promptly.

There has been a tendency for candidates to overlook necessary documents, so take your time with the checklist and ensure you have everything required to avoid any disqualification in the future.
