Individual candidates can check their KCSE results by sending an SMS with their full index number (11digits) followed by the word KCSE. The SMS can be sent from any subscriber’s line (Safaricom, Airtel or any other) to 20076. For example, send the SMS in the format 23467847002KCSE to 20076. There should be no space left between the index number and the word KCSE.

One can also download the whole school’s KCSE results by Visiting the Official KNEC exams portal; https://www.knec-portal.ac.ke/.  This one requires the school’s log in credentials.

Finally, candidates can visit the school for their results. This is usually a day after the results have been released. It is important that you check your result slip to ensure there are no errors on it. Be keen to see that details such as your name, index number and sex are accurate. Admission Requirements

This admission offer is made on the basis of the statement of your qualifications as presented by the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) or other approved examination bodies. As a student you will be expected to register for courses in your degree programme. Any change of Faculty or Department will be permitted only by approval of the University Authorities. A bona fide student will be considered to be one registered in the University during a current academic year. Students unable to register in the academic year may Defer their studies or take an Academic Leave for that academic year. This should be done by writing a letter to the office of the Registrar (Academic Affairs), stating reasons for deferment to the next academic year. The deferment period shall be one (1) academic year renewable continuously up to a maximum of three (3) academic years. Reasons for deferment shall normally be due to: Financial reasons; compassionate reasons; medical reasons (provide medical documents) or any other reason acceptable to Senate. 15. CONDITIONS FOR REGISTRATION No student will be registered without producing the following: – (a) The Admission Letter. (Original) (b) Original result/certificate (which will be returned to the student after verification of its authenticity). (c) Two photocopies of the Certificate/Result Slip. The Kenya National Examination Council, knec, has opened the portal for capturing registration details for 2020 candidates in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) and Kenya Certificate of Primary Education Education (KCPE) examinations. Examination centres now have up to the 15th of February to ensure all candidates are registered.

2020 EXAMINATION REGISTRATION GUIDELINES

As was the case in 2018, candidates will have to be registered in schools where they have been learning. “All heads of institutions are reminded to ensure that candidates are registered where they have been leaning in class Seven (7) for primary schools and form three (3) for Secondary schools respectively. Please note that double registration of candidates constitutes an examination malpractice which is punishable by law,” reads a circular by knec boss Dr Mercy Karogo. The Government will continue paying examination fees for all candidates in both private and public institutions. Repeaters, Foreign candidates, private candidates and candidates in prisons will though be expected to pay the examination fees.

2020 KCPE, KCSE TIME TABLES

As has been the norm, lately, there will be no late registration of candidates and as thus schools should hasten the registration process to avoid the last minute rush.

This year’s KCPE examinations are slated for Monday November 2 to Thursday November 5, 2020. On the other hand, KCSE examinations will be done between Friday November 6 and Monday November 30, 2020.

2019 KCSE, KCPE STATISTICS

A total of 697,222 candidates sat for the 2019 KCSE examination across the 10,287 examination centres; countrywide. Of this, 355,782 were male candidates representing a percentage of 51.03 %.

For KCPE, the total candidature in 2019 was 1,083,456. Of this number, 543,582 were male candidates. The total number of female candidates who sat the examination was 539,874.

KERICHO BOYS HIGH SCHOOL’S BRIEF HISTORY

The school started on 15th June 1959, with eleven boys and two teachers – Mr. John Bowles the first Head teacher and Mr. Wesley Rono, the first African teacher in the school.

The school remained a single stream in the sixties and two stream in the seventies. A’ levels started in 1972. The student population has grown from 11 in 1959, 120 in the sixties, 400 in the seventies and currently stands at 1200.

Our struggle has been embodied in the undying spirit natured by the founders and others who joined the school later. This has always been reflected by their contributions and unwavering support for their alma mater.

Did your KCSE examination and attained the minimum University Entry Grade and have been selected to join Maseno University (MSU)? Well. Congratulations on this your major achievement. Students joining  Maseno University (MSU) are selected by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service, KCCPS. The students are selected after doing their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, KCSE, examination and getting the minimum University entry requirement. The KCSE students must first apply to KUCCPS to be selected to preferred programmes. The students can apply at school level or apply individually during the first and second revision windows.

Once the applications are closed, KUCCPS then places the KCSE students in preferred courses depending on the student’s score, number of available vacancies against applicants among other selection criteria. In not satisfied with the University that you have been selected to join then you can apply for Inter-Institution Transfer.

The placement body then announces the selection results and students can access the admission lists and download their admission letters.

To download the Maseno University (MSU) Admission letter;

  1. Access the KUCCPS Admission Letters Link at http://maseno.ac.ke/application/JAB_Admission_login.php
  2. Enter your KCSE Index Number
  3. Locate the Admission Letter download tab and click on it to download it.
  4. Print the Admission letter and read the instructions keenly. In case you have queries, please direct them to the University by using the official (provided) contacts on your admission letter.

GOSETA HIGH SCHOOL’S BRIEF HISTORY

Goseta Boys High school was established in 1989 and received its full registration in 1993. The first batch of candidates was presented for KCSE in 1994.The school remained a mixed day school till 2009 when it reverted to a boys’ only institution.

The school is located in the County of Trans Nzoia in the sub county of Kwanza Kwanza Administrative Division. It is to be found 200 meters along the Kitale Kapenguria road six kilometers from Kitale town.

The School commenced as a mixed day secondary school in 1989. Today the school is a boys only institution after the girls in the school were moved to an own compound adjacent to the boys compound hived off from a local primary school.

The school has been presenting candidates for the Kenya National Examination Council each year since 1992.The performance as measured by KCSE results has been impressive and has been on a steady upward trend each successive year as evidenced by the examination results of KNEC (KCSE results analyses). The candidature rose from 5 in 1992 to 191 in 2013.

Individual candidates can check their KCSE results by sending an SMS with their full index number (11digits) followed by the word KCSE. The SMS can be sent from any subscriber’s line (Safaricom, Airtel or any other) to 20076. For example, send the SMS in the format 23467847002KCSE to 20076. There should be no space left between the index number and the word KCSE.

One can also download the whole school’s KCSE results by Visiting the Official KNEC exams portal; https://www.knec-portal.ac.ke/.  This one requires the school’s log in credentials.

Close to 46,000 teachers are yet to declare their wealth online ahead of the deadline slated for 31/12/2019. All teachers in employment under TSC are required to declare their Income, Assets and Liabilities

The online portal has been open since 1st November 2019.

The Kenyan law requires all public officers to declare their wealth; periodically. This declaration is made online and there are hefty penalties for officers who fail to declare their income, assets and liabilities within the stipulated time. According to the Public Ethics Act of 2003, It is mandatory for all public officers to declare their income, assets and liabilities once in every two years.

Any teacher in TSC employment who fails to submit a Declaration or gives false or misleading information is liable to a fine of Kshs. 1,000,000 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding (1) one year or both upon conviction.

Vihiga County TSC teachers’ transfer, delocalization list; December 2019

A total of fifteen (15) secondary schools in Vihiga county will receive new Principals after the Teachers Service Commission, TSC, effected the December 2019 delocalization exercise for school heads. The handing/ taking over exercise for the administrators is expected to be completed before schools open for first term on January 6, 2020.

Those moved are heads and principals and their deputies serving in their home counties and those who have served in the same station for a long period. Also on the move are new administrators who were appointed after the just concluded interviews .

Teachers with medical conditions have been spared from the ongoing delocalization exercise. Also spared are teachers aged above 56 years and those set to retire.

The Commission kicked off the delocalization exercise in January, 2018. Other massive deployments would then follow in April, August and December of the same year. Though in April, 2019 the Commission slowed down the transfers as only a handful administrators were moved.
