MUDASA ACADEMY’S BRIEF HISTORY

The school opened in 1992 as a private nursery school. In 1993, 10 pupils formed the pioneer class. The pioneer class sat for the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) in 2000, and the school emerged at the top in the Vihiga District standings with a mean score of 519.4 marks.

The leading candidate in the school had 626 out of a possible 700 marks and was subsequently ranked second in Western Province. The candidate with the lowest marks in the same examination obtained 404 marks, a remarkable performance amongst the local schools.
This performance in national examinations has been repeated year after year since then. This is a manifestation of the quality of teaching staff, a dedicated administration, and the exceptional pupils that join the school each year.

For the past 23 years, Mudasa has remained the top performing school in the Vihiga District. Mudasa has cut a niche for itself and is now a beacon of academic excellence in the region and the country as a whole.

Due to the overwhelming success of the primary school (pre-unit through standard 8) coupled with the demand to expand opportunities in secondary education from parents, the community, and other stakeholders, Mudasa Academy opened its doors to the Senior School in January 2005. Mudasa Academy KISUMU opened in January 2016 starting off with preschool to class 5 in addition to Mudasa Academy VIHIGA.

The Story of Mudasa Academy is one of ambition, hard work, discipline, and a relentless desire to excel.

Education CS wants fresh data on all schools, learners

Education Cabinet Secretary Prof George Magoha has directed that his office be furnished with accurate data on number of schools and learners. Through a circular dated December 10, 2019, the CS notes that the actual number of all schools in the country is not known.

“It has come to my attention that the State Department of Early Learning and Basic Education does not maintain accurate and reliable database on the number of physical schools and the actual number of pupils that can be relied on for effective decision making,” says CS Magoha.

Also read;

 For all details about other schools in Kenya, please visit the link below;

According to the CS, lack of accurate information has hampered effective service delivery in the Education Sector. He has thus directed all County Directors of Education to urgently compile data on the actual number of pupils in grade two (2) to eight (8). Also to be collated is data on the physical number of schools; both secondary and primary schools. “This information should reach this office (the Education Headquarters at Jogoo House; Nairobi) by Monday December 23, 2019,” the CS directs.

Schools are always expected to update the data on all learners and employees on the Ministry’s portal; National Education Management Information System (NEMIS). But, some schools may be having incomplete data. Data captured on NEMIS is used for disbursement of government fee capitation among other functions.

The CS now warns that schools with incorrect data will miss out on Fees Capitation and other government services. “This information is required for 2020 capitation and other critical decisions. It is reiterated that no institution shall receive capitation or any other Ministerial service without this data,” warns the CS.

Early this year, a number of schools missed capitation due to inaccurate data on NEMIS. The Ministry had to surcharge institutions that had exaggerated their learners’ populations.

All learners in public secondary schools receive government capitation of Sh22,244 per year. The Government disburses the capitation money on a ratio of 50 per cent for first term, 30 per cent in the second and 20 per cent for third term.

UTUMISHI BOYS ACADEMY’S BRIEF HISTORY

The idea of starting a school for police officers’ children was conceived in the early 1960s, however, it was until 1991 when the commissioner of police the late Philip Kilonzo began implementing the idea.

On 30th May 1991, the first steering committee was formed. Its first chairman was the former Senior Deputy Commissioner of Police, Hon Elijah Sumbeiywo. On December 30th, 1992, the principal Mr. Willie M. Mugoh was posted to the school. He was soon followed by twelve teachers. On 26th Jan 1993, the school admitted its first 80 boys and girls.

They were accommodated in the primary school since the complex had not been completed. Students used wooden houses in the anti-stock theft unit Police line as the boys’ dormitory and the school dining hall. The school soon outgrew the facilities the primary section could offer and so in January 1995, the school was moved to the incomplete complex structures.

How to download 2020/2021 KUCCPS Student’s Admission letter to RAF International University; 2020 KUCCPS Admission list pdf download

Congratulations for getting admission at RAF International University after your successful application. Students joining university are selected by the Kenya RAF International University and Colleges Central Placement Service, KCCPS. The students are selected after sitting their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, KCSE, examination and getting the minimum University entry requirement. The KCSE students must first apply to KUCCPS to be selected to preferred programmes. The students can apply at school level or apply individually during the first and second revision windows.

Once the applications are closed, KUCCPS then places the KCSE students in preferred courses depending on the student’s score, number of available vacancies against applicants among other selection criteria. In not satisfied with the University that you have been selected to join then you can apply for Inter-Institution Transfer.

The placement body then announces the selection results and students can access the admission lists and download their admission letters.
