Egoji TTC 2020/2021 intake, courses, requirements, contacts, fees, admission letters: Diploma in Education Latest News

Get all details about St. Lawrence Egoji Teachers College; Diploma Teachers Training College Courses, Fees Structure, Admission Requirements, Application Form and Contacts. Check all the details in this post.

EGOJI TTC LOCATION

Egoji TTC is located in Igoji East division near Igoji market in Meru county.

EGOJI TTC BRIEF HISTORY

St. Lawrence Egoji Teachers’ College was established in 1959 by the Catholic Diocese of Meru. It was founded by the Consolata fathers led by the first Bishop of Meru RT. Rev. Victor Bessone and Rev. Fr. La-Greca who was the first principal and chaplain.

To-date the college has successfully trained 24,067 teachers who are serving not only in Kenya but also in Africa and other parts of the world. I can confidently state that Egoji Teachers’ Training College has made tremendous impact in both academic and co-curricular activities.

St. Lawrence Egoji Teachers’ College, by its history and position finds itself with the inherent role of providing training in the domain of Teacher Education in Kenya. As a country, we have experienced the impact of globalization and ICT revolution among other emerging trends that has necessitated the government to reform the education and training sector to respond to these emerging challenges.

The college must therefore respond by identifying the opportunities and avenues of creating new partnerships and collaborations, resulting in remarkable improvements in teacher education nationwide and strengthening the quality of life.

The tertiary education sub-sector in Kenya has experienced moderate growth over the last 40 years. However, it faces challenges in producing adequate and skilled middle level human resource required to meet the demands for national development.

The college is therefore compelled to chart a new strategic direction guided by a shared vision, strategic thinking and agility, – while at the same time being increasingly aware of the importance of its position in a national context. It is against this backdrop that has necessitated the development of the 2017-2022 strategic plan upon which the management of the college affairs will be based.

The College formulated its first five-year Strategic plan (2009 to 2014) which guided its operations from 2009 to 2013. The strategic plan was reviewed in 2013, and culminated in the second Strategic Plan (2013-2017). The review arose from the need to integrate and incorporate national development priorities in the College agenda as articulated in the Kenya Vision 2030, the new constitution of Kenya 2010 and other government policies.

Through this strategic plan, the college intends to marshal its acknowledged strengths around identified opportunities in order to address its weaknesses and minimize threats associated with its development, transformation and contribution to the national agenda and the society in general.

The College developed a quality management system and was accredited with ISO 9001:2008 certification in 2013 by the Kenya Bureau of Standards, and prides itself in being the first Teacher training college in Kenya to acquire this prestigious certification. The motto of the College is ‘Lucere Ardere’ translated as: ‘burn to enlighten’.

Vihiga County TSC teachers’ transfer, delocalization list; December 2019

A total of fifteen (15) secondary schools in Vihiga county will receive new Principals after the Teachers Service Commission, TSC, effected the December 2019 delocalization exercise for school heads. The handing/ taking over exercise for the administrators is expected to be completed before schools open for first term on January 6, 2020.

Those moved are heads and principals and their deputies serving in their home counties and those who have served in the same station for a long period. Also on the move are new administrators who were appointed after the just concluded interviews .

Teachers with medical conditions have been spared from the ongoing delocalization exercise. Also spared are teachers aged above 56 years and those set to retire.

For all the latest TSC news and delocalization lists, visit;

The Commission kicked off the delocalization exercise in January, 2018. Other massive deployments would then follow in April, August and December of the same year. Though in April, 2019 the Commission slowed down the transfers as only a handful administrators were moved.

List of all Universities in Kenya; University Codes and Category

Universities are the highest learning institutions in Kenya and the World over. They offer training majorly in undegraduate and Post Graduate Studies. In Kenya, the Courses offered in the Universities must be accredited by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Services, KUCCPS. It is the same body that selects and places students to higher learning institutions; Universities, Colleges and Polytechnics. To qualify for University placement one must attain the minimum set Mean grade and particular course requirements. Each Course offered at particular university has its own cluster cut off points, though. Most university courses take a minimum of 4 years; while, some take even more. An academic year at the university takes two semesters of three months each.

Each University has a short code; that is particular for that institution. There are two categories of Universities in Kenya; Private and Public Universities. The difference between the two is that public universities are managed by a team appointed by the responsible Government agencies.

Here is a list of all universities in Kenya offering programmes approved by the Kenya University and College Central placement service (KUCCPS):

How to download 2020/2021 Admission letter to University of Eldoret (UOE); 2020 KUCCPS Admission list pdf

Did your KCSE examination and attained the minimum University Entry Grade and have been selected to join the University of Eldoret (UOE)? Well. Congratulations on this your major achievement. Students joining University of Eldoret (UOE) are selected by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service, KCCPS. The students are selected after doing their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, KCSE, examination and getting the minimum University entry requirement. The KCSE students must first apply to KUCCPS to be selected to preferred programmes. The students can apply at school level or apply individually during the first and second revision windows.

Once the applications are closed, KUCCPS then places the KCSE students in preferred courses depending on the student’s score, number of available vacancies against applicants among other selection criteria. In not satisfied with the University that you have been selected to join then you can apply for Inter-Institution Transfer.

The placement body then announces the selection results and students can access the admission lists and download their admission letters.

List of transferred, delocalized Principals in Meru County; December 2019

The Teachers Service Commission, TSC, has effected the December 2019 delocalization exercise for school heads. A total of thirty five (35) head teachers have been moved in Meru County.

For all the latest TSC news and delocalization lists, visit;

The Commission kicked off the delocalization exercise in January, 2018. Other massive deployments would then follow in April, August and December of the same year. Though in April, 2019 the Commission slowed down the transfers as only a handful administrators were moved.
