Data Entry jobs; Many opportunities available at the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection

Do you need short term posts for Data Entry Clerks? Then this is your opportunity to work with the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, State Department for Social Protection.

Applications are invited for temporary/casual engagement of Data entry Clerks for a period of three [3] months in the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, State Department for Social Protection.
Successful persons will be deployed in various stations in the State Department for Social Protection as Data Entry Clerks. Remuneration will be determined by prevailing Government regulations on Casual employees.

How to apply

Interested and qualified persons are required to submit their application letters together with CV, copies of National Identification Card, PIN and academic certificates to the Director Human Resource Management and Development Office National Social Security Fund (NSSF) Building, Block ‘A’, Eastern Wing, 4th Floor registry, on or before 22nd January, 2020.

Responsibilities:

Recruited clerks will execute the following responsibilities:

  • Sorting forms from the Counties according to date sent, programme and case typology
  • Updating beneficiaries data System[MIS];
  • Retrieving and printing change management updates; on Management Information

StPaul’s University is happy to inform the first year (New) students who have been selected to join the University in the various degree programmes that they can now get access to their Letters of admission to the university. Congratulations for getting admission at University after your successful application. Students joining StPaul’s University are selected by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service, KCCPS. The students are selected after sitting their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, KCSE, examination and getting the minimum University entry requirement. The KCSE students must first apply to KUCCPS to be selected to preferred programmes. The students can apply at school level or apply individually during the first and second revision windows.

Once the applications are closed, KUCCPS then places the KCSE students in preferred courses depending on the student’s score, number of available vacancies against applicants among other selection criteria. In not satisfied with the University that you have been selected to join then you can apply for Inter-Institution Transfer.

The placement body then announces the selection results and students can access the admission lists and download their admission letters.

  1. Access the KUCCPS Admission Letters Link at https://students.spu.ac.ke/
  2. Enter your Registration Number and password. Next, click on Log in.
  3. Locate the Admission Letter download tab and click on it to download it.

TSC Reminder to teachers on filing of individual income KRA tax returns: Procedure

The Teachers Service Commission, TSC, has reminded teachers and staff to file their 2019 individual income tax returns for 2019; ahead of the June 30th deadline. The filing of the tax returns shall be done online using the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) itax platform (https://itax.kra.go.ke).

P9 FORMS

To file the KRA returns, one is supposed to have a P9 form that is generated by the employer. “The Tax deduction cards (P9 Forms) have been uploaded on the TSC payslip portal for all TSC employees to download. This will facilitate filing of the returns,” says TSC Boss Dr. Nancy Macharia via a circular dated April 9, 2020.

“You are also informed that the Commission is working Jointly with KRA to update the itax records for the years 2015 to 2019 to facilitate issuance of Tax Compliance Certificates (TCC),” she adds.

PENALTIES

Late filing of tax returns attracts a penalty of 5% of the tax due or Ksh 20,000 whichever is higher. Late payments of taxes leads to a penalty of 20% of the outstanding tax.

ABOUT INDIVIDUAL INCOME TAX

An individual income tax return is a declaration of income earned by an individual within a particular year. Every individual with a KRA PIN is required to file this return. Those without formal employment should file Nil Returns.

You can file your Individual Income Tax Returns for a particular year of income, anytime between 1st January to 30th June of the following year.

Submission of income tax returns is an online process done via iTax.

TPAD 2 Lesson Observation Form for teachers free download

All Teachers employed by the Teachers Service Commission, TSC, are required to be appraised on termly basis. The Commission has developed a new Teacher Performance Appraisal and Development (TPAD 2) system. Part of the appraisal requires that a teacher be observed atleast once in a term and a Lesson Observation Form be filled. Lesson observation portal is provided in TPAD online system.

The observer is required to enter the marks on the online lesson observation portal after observing a teacher. This is a compulsory target the online appraisal will remain incomplete to at least 97% if the marks on the duly filled lesson observation form (LOF) are not uploaded on the teacher’s online appraisal. According to TSC, there should always be a preparatory meeting before the lesson observation and a feedback session after the lesson observation.

The Lesson Observation Form contains the following fields:

  • Content Delivery: Mastery of content in line with the syllabus, Answering of students questions accurately, Teaching with lesson notes and lesson plan summarized the lesson by highlighting the key points, Covering the lesson within the stipulated time (Started on time and ended on time).
  • Teaching Methods/ Techniques: Use of appropriate teaching methods (Question and answer, Demonstration, experimentation, Discussion/Group work, Field work); Use of appropriate teaching/learning aids; Use of varied teaching methods; Demonstrate innovation and creativity in teaching; Ability to simulate learners.

Did your KCSE examination and attained the minimum Kenyatta University Entry Grade? Well. Congratulations on this your major achievement. Students joining university are selected by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service, KCCPS. The students are selected after doing their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, KCSE, examination and getting the minimum University entry requirement. The KCSE students must first apply to KUCCPS to be selected to preferred programmes. The students can apply at school level or apply individually during the first and second revision windows.

Once the applications are closed, KUCCPS then places the KCSE students in preferred courses depending on the student’s score, number of available vacancies against applicants among other selection criteria. In not satisfied with the University that you have been selected to join then you can apply for Inter-Institution Transfer.

The placement body then announces the selection results and students can access the admission lists and download their admission letters.

CHULUNI GIRLS’ SECONDARY SCHOOL’S BRIEF HISTORY

Chuluni Girls Secondary School is a pure girls school. It was established in 1979 as a harambee school with an aim of promoting girl child education under the sponsorship of African Inland Church and over the years it has grown to a three streamed boarding school under county category with an enrollment of 600 students. 90% of our students are drawn from Kitui County while 10% come from other counties. It is located along Kitui-Kibwezi road 5 km from Kitui town.
