How to Check KUCCPS Placement Online

Check your KUCCPS application placement using the online portal

  1. Access the KUCCPS portal via students.kuccps.net
  2. Click on the Login button at the top right corner of the page
  3. Enter your KCSE INDEX NUMBER, KCSE YEAR, and PASSWORD (Use Your Birth Certificate No. OR KCPE Index No (as used in KCSE Exam Registration) as your Initial Password)
  4. Click on the login button 
  5. Wait for the system to authenticate and redirect you.
  6. Your course and assigned institution will be displayed on the dashboard of your account.

Check your KUCCPS Placement with SMS Shortcode

Applicants can check their placement using the KUCCPS Shortcode

  1. Open your Phone Messages Chat
  2. Send your Index Number starting with your KCSE year to the shortcode 20842

Examples of the Correct Format: 202112345678912 or 202212345678912 (KCSE year + Index Number)

HOW TO CHECK YOUR PLACEMENT RESULTS

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has released the 2023/2024 placement of students to universities and colleges. There are many ways through which you can easily and quickly check your results.

Applicants can check their placement results through any of the following ways.

1. Student’s Portal (Free of Charge)

Log in to the student’s Portal (students.kuccps.net] and view your placement results on the Dashboard. The login credentials are:

  • Applicant’s KCSE Index Number
  • Applicant’s KCSE Year
  • Password (Applicant’s KCPE Index Number/Birth Certificate Number)

2. SMS (Charges Applicable)

Send your KCSE Index number by SMS to 20842 starting with your KCSE year [Example: 202212345678912).

You will receive a response indicating the programme and the institution in which you have been placed. (Charges: Ksh25 per SMS.)

3. Enquiries to Kuccps

Applicants may also send enquiries through the KUCCPS communication channels listed below.

Alternatively, applicants may seek the information from the KUCCPS officers based in the following Huduma Centres: Nairobi (GPO), Mombasa, Kisumu, Eldoret, Nyeri, Meru, Narok, Kakamega, Isiolo, Kitui, Thika, Kitale, Narok, Garissa and Nakuru; or at any Huduma Centre cybercafe.
