The Teachers Service Commission, TSC, expects appraisers to fill summaries of data on lesson attendance per week for all teachers. These summaries are compiled using the manual TSC sheets and fed into the new Teacher Performance Appraisal and Development (TPAD) system. It should be noted that the summaries are done by either the Deputy Head/ Principal, Senior Master/ Teacher or Head of Department; the one in-charge of the appraisals for teachers.
The lesson attendance sheet has columns for filling such data as: Name of the teacher, Number of Lessons to be taught (per week), Actual Number of lessons taught, Number of Lessons recovered and remarks by the appraiser.

HOW TO EASILY FILL THE TPAD LESSON ATTENDANCE SUMMARIES FOR ALL TEACHERS, ONLINE
The lesson attendance summaries for all teachers in a school are to be filled on Fridays of every week. This is done before mid night on Friday. It is only the appraiser who is able to file the summaries.
To enter the lesson attendance summaries for teachers, use the procedure below:
Access the New TPAD 2 log in window by clicking on this link: New TPAD2 portal. (Remember you must have to register online before logging in).
Enter your TSC Number, ID Number and Password correctly.
Next, click on Login to access your Dashboard.
Select Appraiser Appraisals from the Menu on the top left corner of your window.
Now, click on Weekly attendance to access the Lesson attendance summaries window.
Scroll down to ‘Add Attendance’ and click on it (This is after you have declared the year, term and the date when the week ends; that Friday).
You will now be able to add each teacher’s weekly lesson attendance Summary.
Click in the box indicated ‘Select Teacher’ and choose the teacher for whom to declare his/ her lesson attendance. Select the Week’s ending date, number of lessons to be taught and the actual number of lessons taught. Then, you will also enter the number of lessons recovered by the teacher and attendance remarks.
Click on ‘Save’ to file the data. Repeat the same procedure for teachers in the institutions. It should be noted that the details (names) for all teachers in the institution have been pre-loaded automatically.

Congratulations for getting admission at University after your successful application. Students joining university are selected by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service, KCCPS. The students are selected after sitting their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, KCSE, examination and getting the minimum University entry requirement. The KCSE students must first apply to KUCCPS to be selected to preferred programmes. The students can apply at school level or apply individually during the first and second revision windows.
Once the applications are closed, KUCCPS then places the KCSE students in preferred courses depending on the student’s score, number of available vacancies against applicants among other selection criteria. In not satisfied with the University that you have been selected to join then you can apply for Inter-Institution Transfer.

The Ministry of Education has revised the term dates for the 2020 academic year. In a circular dated 12th February, 2020 , and written by the Principal Secretary, Dr. Belio R. Kipsang, term dates for Pre-Primary, Primary, secondary schools and Teacher Training Colleges have been altered. In the revised term dates, candidates will sit for their examinations earlier than had already programmed. Schools will now, also, close early in term three to pave way for execution of the national examinations.
“Following stakeholders’ consultation on the above subject (2020 term dates), it has been found necessary to revise the term dates for the calendar year 2020 for schools and colleges,” reads the Circular sent to all Regional Directors of Education.
Just like it was in 2019, there will be no half term break in third term of 2020.
NEW DATES
In the latest directive, the closing date for all primary schools in term three has been moved from October 30, 2020 to 23rd October, 2020. Also changed is the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education, KCPE, examination period that has now been slated for October 26 to October 29, 2020.
For Secondary schools, the closing date in term three has been moved from October 30, 2020 to 23rd October, 2020. Just like the KCPE examination, the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination period has been altered to between November 2 and November 25, 2020.
College students have been added an extra one day holiday in term one as their closing date has been moved backwards to 09/04/2020 from the initial closing date of 10/04/2020.

One can also download the whole school’s KCSE results by Visiting the Official KNEC exams portal; https://www.knec-portal.ac.ke/. This one requires the school’s log in credentials.
Finally, candidates can visit the school for their results. This is usually a day after the results have been released. It is important that you check your result slip to ensure there are no errors on it. Be keen to see that details such as your name, index number and sex are accurate. In case of any discrepancy, please notify your principal or KNEC immediately for correction.

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service, Kuccps, has released the list of KCSE candidates are required to carry out second revision of their 2020/2021 placement choices. This is a list of students who were not selected during the first revision of their course choices. Kuccps says the application system will open for the Second Revision of degree, diploma and certificate choices from Thursday, April 2, 2020 to Wednesday, April 15, 2020.The Second Revision will be open for all the applicants who, on competitive selection after the First Revision of Choices, have not secured any of their choices for placement to universities and colleges.
The KCSE index numbers of these applicants are listed Second Revision List for 2020/2021 Placement. Kuccps urges principals of the secondary schools whose former students’ index numbers are listed on the website to inform the affected applicants to revise their choices.
In addition, students who did not apply through their schools and missed the First Revision of Choices may use this opportunity to submit their applications.
The applicants will be required to select new choices from the degree, diploma and craft/artisan certificate courses with unfilled capacities, which are also listed on the website, and submit afresh.
Applicants whose index numbers are not in the list on the website have already provisionally secured one of their choices, hence are not required to reapply. The outcome of their applications will be given after the conclusion of the placement processing.

Applications must be submitted through the KUCCPS Student’s Portal.
Applications may also be submitted through the Placement Service App, KUCCPS STUDENTS, which is available for download on Play Store.

Application Support
In light of the Government guidelines meant to stem the spread of the coronavirus, applicants are advised to observe social distancing, avoid gatherings and follow the directives regularly issued by the Ministry of Health.
Due to these Government guidelines, the Placement Service offices and Huduma Centre desks are closed to the public. The application process is, however, fully automated and applicants who need support to access their accounts should contact the Placement Service Customer Care through:

The placement application process is automated and applications can be submitted online from any location through mobile phones, tablets and computers connected to the Internet. Applicants are advised to observe the deadline as late applications will not be accepted.
