Getting your 2021/2022 Kuccps placement results at the student portal is quite simple and this service is offered free of charge.
GETTING YOUR KUCCPS 2021 PLACEMENT RESULTS THROUGH ONLINE PORTAL
Apart from getting your results through the Kuccps student portal is one of the surest ways of checking your admission results. The other method through which you can get your placement results is through the Kuccps SMS.
Back to the Kuccps student portal. Follow the simple steps below;

Login with your details as follows;

It is my honour and pleasure to launch the 2020 national examinations and officiate the issuing of security padlocks for the 479 containers to the Deputy County Commissioners and the Sub County Directors of Education today ahead of this year’s KCPE and KCSE.
As part of the Multi-sectoral Approach to the administration of national examinations, we are all assembled here this morning because the success or failure of this important exercise depends on all of us.
And since we have no option for failure, I urge all of us to firmly commit that we will play our roles with lots of military precision to ensure we achieve the highest levels of success in this examinations.
I wish to thank my fellow Cabinet Secretaries from the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government and Ministry of ICT, Innovation and Youth Affairs for the joint effort and sacrifice that has been put towards supporting the provision of credible examinations in this country over the last four years. Because of this, we managed to stamp out the bad practice of leaking national examinations.
This year is, however, much different from the previous years given that we are operating in the COVID-19 era. As a result, I am urging all those who will be involved in the examinations administration to strictly comply with the Ministry of Health’s COVID-19 protocols, which we have been enforcing in schools since the resumption of studies.
No Centre Manager should turn up at any examination container to collect or drop off
examinations without wearing a face mask;
All officials who attend to services at the examination centres must use sanitizer or wash their hands before being allowed to handle examination materials.
At examination centres, all examination officials must wash their hands or sanitize before they can open examination scripts for distribution to candidates.
All examination officials must regularly use sanitiser or wash their hands before frisking candidates ahead of the start of examination sittings.
At the Ministry of Education, I have today recalled all officers who were on leave right from the Sub-County Level to Jogoo House. All of us will be on duty on all days during the examinations season to ensure everything goes on as planned.
In liaison with all Ministries and Departments, we are prepared to steer a nationwide exercise in all parts of the country to ensure smooth running of the examinations.
To this end, I urge all of us to be mindful of our candidates, some of whom are in one way or the other affected by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. We must all take cognizant of the environment of the 2020 examinations and give hope to all candidates by assuring them that none of them will be disadvantaged in the examination process.
The Ministry is also aware of plans that some centre managers are planning to retain teachers employed by the Board of Management (BOM) in schools to aid in cheating. The examination centres with such plans have been identified and are being monitored closely.
It’s important for all of us to ensure that all head teachers and other persons steer a credible examination process in 2020.
The Ministry of Education, Ministry of ICT, Ministry of interior and Coordination of National Government have agreed on strategies to enhance the security of the 2020 national examinations. The following have been agreed upon:
Deputy County Commissioners (DCCS) and Assistant County Commissioners (ACCs), will be involved in the daily opening and closing of the containers in their respective Sub Counties.
Each container will be manned by four armed security officers on a 24/7 basis once the examinations are delivered to the Sub Counties. Additional security officers will be deployed from time to time when need arises.
Once the examination papers for the day have been issued, the container must be locked to be reopened when candidates’ answer scripts are returned after the day’s examinations.
The security in charge of the container must adhere to the rules pertaining to the opening and closing of the container.
Security officers will be used to escort the examination materials from the KNEC warehouse to the examination storage facilities in the Sub Counties. Upon arrival at the Sub Counties, the examinations will be handed over to the Sub County Directors of Education and the Deputy County Commissioners who will provide security for the examinations.
All question papers will be escorted by armed security officers each day of the examination when the centre managers will be collecting and returning the candidates’
answer scripts to the container. While at the examination centre, the security officers will ensure adequate security is provided to all the candidates and the examination materials.
The centre manager must hand over examination materials to the Supervisor once he/she arrives at the examination centre. At no time should the examination papers be in the centre manager’s office. answer scripts to the container. Upon completion of the examinations, the Council will liaise with the Sub County Directors of Education and Deputy County Commissioners on when the candidates’ answer scripts will be returned to KNEC premises under armed security escort. While overseeing examinations, the vetted and appointed supervisors and invigilators must uphold integrity in execution of their roles. They should be vigilant and deter any form of examination malpractice.
The Ministry of Education has banned supervisors and invigilators from being deployed in the same examination centres for more than two consecutive years in line with KNEC’s policy.
Let me reiterate that the Ministry will never tire in dealing with any form of examinations cheating. Let us allow candidates to apply their knowledge in the examination room.
Grade 4 Assessment
I wish to urge our colleagues from the education sector to ensure that the Grade 4 Assessment that begins next week goes on as planned. KNEC has already provided guidelines on this important assessment, which is part of the successful implementation of the Competency Based
Curriculum (CBC). The Grade 4 assessment will tae place from 8th to 18th March 2021. I urge parents to support our candidates during this period as they have always done.
Parents should not be duped into parting with money to aid any form of cheating in the KCPE and KCSE like has been the case in the past. The examinations will not be leaked whatsoever.
Our Regional Coordinators and County Directors of Education must be alert during this time of examinations and work closely with our TSC counterparts to ensure smooth running of examinations.
Once again, I wish to thank you for the support you have given to this national noble course on management of examinations.
Finally, I wish to inform the country that we have now supplied 98 per cent of the KSh1.9 Billion Economic Stimulus Programme Desks to targeted schools countrywide. We hope that centre will utilise some of these desks to ensure candidates sit their examinations in a more comfortable environment.

To pursue a Diploma in Education, you must have scored a Minimum Mean Grade of C+ (plus) in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE). Also required is a minimum of a C+ (plus) in the two teaching subjects that you want to major in; these are the subjects that you will be able to teach at high school on completion of your studies. Finally, a new requirement has been introduced for all teacher trainees. You must now have to score a grade C (plain) and above in English in order to train as a teacher.

Welcome to the 2020 KUCCPS Student’s Portal. The portal is now open for 2019 KCSE candidates to revise their course choices. Did you know that most KCSE students make wrong choices when selecting their preferred degree and diploma programmes. Some students end up missing out on their courses and institutions of preference.
To ensure that you clinch a vacancy in the preferred course and institution it is prudent that you put the following into consideration:
Cluster points: The KUCCPS system has calculated the cluster points for each student for all the available programmes. For instance, the cluster weights for the 23 Degree clusters have been populated for you and are available at your Dashboard on the student portal (Once you log in).. In some clusters you may find that you have 0.00 cluster weight. Thus, you need to be very keen when selecting a degree programme. For each programme respective universities have different cluster requirements. Select a programme in that university that requires an equivalent or lower cluster weight/ points. Ensure you download and review the latest Degree Cutoff points pdf guide from the KUCCPS site.
Subject requirements: Each degree programme has its own subject requirements. Before selecting the programme, ensure you meet its minimum subject requirements.
Competitiveness of the Programme and University:Some courses and universities are very competitive. Selecting such courses and/ or programmes exposes you to stiff competition from other students. It is advisable that you check on your performance before applying for such courses.
Available vacancies: Each course has a declared capacity in the institutions offering it. Please check the declared vacancies before applying for the course. A course with limited vacancies puts you at risk of missing out on the first and second revisions. Note that if you miss out on the first and second revisions then KUCCPS will place you in any programme that would be having unfilled vacancies after the revisions.

All programmes have minimum subject requirements. You will only be able to apply for a course whose minimum requirements you meet, but the selection will be determined by the overall performance and the available capacity.
You may view the available programmes and their requirements by clicking the Programmes tab above. You can also search for courses by institution, using the Institutions tab above.
As you look through the programmes, you may move the ones that interest you into the Course Basket. This will enable you to work with a shorter list when preparing your final list of courses to apply for.
Once you have settled on your preferred courses, you will only be required to enter the Programme Codes.
To apply, use the Application/Revision tab. Enter the Programme Codes and Submit.
An application processing fee of Ksh 1,500 is charged (Students who applied in school and paid Ksh 500 should pay only Ksh 1,000 to revise their choices.) A prompt for the M-PESA transaction code will appear if you are revising/applying for the first time.
Enter the Transaction Code and submit.
The same Transaction Code will be required for any subsequent changes to your application. Therefore, you are advised to retain it.
How to Pay Using M-PESA
Go to your Lipa na M-PESA Menu
Select Pay Bill
Enter Business Number 820201
For the Account Number, enter your KCSE Year and KCSE Index Number (no space)
Enter your M-PESA PIN and Send.
CAUTION! Do not make any payment before you follow the above processes or after the application deadline has passed!
Multiple Categories Consideration
When you apply to more than one category i.e. Degree, Diploma, Craft Certificate, Artisan Certificate, you can opt into having the two categories considered at the same time during processing. For example: If you apply for Diploma and Craft Certificate you will be considered for your Craft Certificate Application in case you miss out on your Diploma Application. If you opt out of this option only your Diploma application will be considered.
NOTE: If you are placed to the second category of your application you will not be recalled for subsequent revisions.
Filing Your choices
a) Filling and saving the template
The student has 18 choices open to them,
6 Degree options (1a, 1b, 1c, 2, 3, 4)
4 Diploma options (1,2,3,4).
4 Craft Certificate options (1,2,3,4)
4 Artisan Certificate options (1,2,3,4).
The Student is allowed to apply for either any combination of or all levels, but they should be in the appropriate fields, i.e. no Diploma Codes in the Degree area or vice versa, these choices will be disregarded.
The student should only apply for programmes they will be comfortable pursuing if they are placed to them. No field is mandatory.
If a student will not be applying, do not enter anything in the fields, leave the choice cells
blank and only fill the contact details.
Choices 1a-1c should be the same programme in different institutions, in cases where the
programme only exists in one or two institution/s please enter only the one/s available and skip the other. Do NOT fill the gap with another unrelated option as it will be disregarded at upload.
PROCEDURE FOR APPLYING/ REVISING YOUR COURSE CHOICES

The Placement Procedure
Students placement to institutions of higher learning occurs in four (4) phases, namely:
Stage 1: KUCCPS School/Centre Application
The School/Centre application phase occurs between October and December. All candidates should be encouraged to apply and can select for four levels. However they should make choices for programmes they are only interested in pursuing. No program is mandatory.
Stage 2: KUCCPS first revision
First revision for degree and diploma choices will be on dates to be announced by placement service after the release of KCSE results.
Stage 3: KUCCPS second revision
Candidates who will not have qualified on competitive selection for any of their preferred choices during the first round of selection will be given a chance to do second revision by selecting courses with unfilled capacities.
Stage 4: Placement to any Programme.
Any applicant who fails to qualify for their choices but meet the cut off points for placement may be offered any course with unfilled capacities taking into account the minimum requirements for admission.

HOW TO KNOW IF YOU HAVE SECURED VACANCY IN COURSE OF CHOICE.
After the first revision, KUCCPS will upload a list of students who would have not been placed. They will then be given a chance to carry out secind revision.
Before going through the long list of unplaced students, one can log onto the students’ portal at: https://students.kuccps.net
Then, check on the dash board. For those who have been competitively placed, the following message would be shown; “You have provisionally secured one of your choices subject to approval by the Placement Service Board.”

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service, KUCCPS, has now finalized the placement process for the 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, KCSE, exams candidates to universities of their choice. The reporting date for the first year students has been set for August/ September, 2025
The first year Students have been advised to visit the KUCCPS Student portal in order to know the university into which they have been placed. After knowing the university of placement, the Students should then proceed to download the admission letter. CONTENTS OF THE ADMISSION LETTER.
The first year admission letter contains vital information for prospective students.
Here is a list of crucial items that have been included on the admission letters for the 2025/2026 first years:
1. The School where the student has been placed i.e school of education, Medicine or School of Pure and Applied Sciences.
2. The Title of the degree program that the student will be awarded at the completion of the study period e.g Bachelor of Education (Science).
3. The reporting date.
4. The student’s registration number.
5. Documents that the student must present on the reporting date e.g Originals and copies of:
i). Admission Letter.
ii. KCSE Certificate and/or KCSE Result Slip on the day of registration for verification purposes.
iii. National Identification Card. If under 18 years of age, Birth Certificate will be required.
iv. National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) Registration Card for self or for guardian.
v. Proof of payment of full fees as per the respective programme fee structure.
vi. Your agreement to adhere to the Rules and Regulations Governing the Conduct and Discipline of Students of the University.
6. Fees payment requirements and details; amounts and accounts into which the deposits are to be made.

ST THOMAS AQUINAS KALAWA BOYS SCHOOL’S KCSE RESULTS
Individual candidates can check their KCSE results by sending an SMS with their full index number (11digits) followed by the word KCSE. The SMS can be sent from any subscriber’s line (Safaricom, Airtel or any other) to 20076. For example, send the SMS in the format 23467847002KCSE to 20076. There should be no space left between the index number and the word KCSE.
One can also download the whole school’s KCSE results by Visiting the Official KNEC exams portal; https://www.knec-portal.ac.ke/. This one requires the school’s log in credentials.
Finally, candidates can visit the school for their results. This is usually a day after the results have been released. It is important that you check your result slip to ensure there are no errors on it. Be keen to see that details such as your name, index number and sex are accurate. In case of any discrepancy, please notify your principal or KNEC immediately for correction.
